Bar Acuda

First of all loved the square business card

So while on our recent vacation in Kauai we ate dinner one evening at Bar Acuda.  I love tapas and heard it was a great place.  And generally when I eat out with my husband I try to not eat Italian as that is what we eat everyday at home!  A great place to try if you are ever in the area, (only dinner service) a little pricey for tapas but a nice  menu selection, great service and excellent bread, in fact we saw early in the day the bakers assistant making it!

First tapa, mediterranean olives tossed with garlic, rosemary, fennel and orange zest

My beverage of choice, sangria

Whole roasted tomato bruschetta, too much balsamic for me but a very interesting way to serve the dish

Shrimp with spicy chili sauce....these were great

Seared scallops with mashed potatoes and truffle reduction

Pizzetta with sweet onion soffritto...very nice thin and crispy crust, not a real pizza mind you, but good

Affogato, extremely small portion, literally this cup was for a little girl's first tea set, sorry there is no reference in the photo

Mexican chocolate ice cream and brownie...when you say brownie there is no more to say!
