Bora Bora Dream

Airport at Bora Bora....no security or immigration here

I have been thinking back to my honeymoon last year in Bora Bora.  We definitely don't have such a vacation planned for this summer so I am a bit down.  This was a dream trip for my husband, but I was quite the skeptic as I didn't like the idea of being in the absolute middle of nowhere.  But the island even softened me after a few days and I was sad to leave.

Seeing the water this blue never got old

View of Mount Otomanu from our hotel, The Intercontinental

View from infinity pool onto the lagoon

View from our bungalow

Dock from our bungalow, the depth of the water here was to our chests....natural swimming pool!

The bungalows at night

Everyday there was a feeding of the stingrays from our beach

Because our resort was on the motu (or outer coral ring of the main island) we would take a boat ride to the main island for dinner, shopping and such, this was a very tiny French place called La Villa Mahana http://www.villamahana.com/Restaurant%20English.htm

Main square area on the big island

Fresh fish for sale

Our last night in Bora Bora we had the treat to watch the annual Heiva (polynesian dance competition)
